Beginning Orchestra Summer CampFarmington Jr High
Farmington Junior High is offering three, one-week Beginning Orchestra summer camp sessions. Depending on your summer schedule, you may choose to attend one, two, or all three sessions. The sessions will cover review topics of beginning music theory, instrument skills, listening skills, and response skills that were taught in 6th Grade Orchestra. While we review, we will play new and fun music. This is the perfect class for Orchestra students going into 7th Grade who want to keep their new music skills sharpened. This is also the perfect class for incoming 7th Graders who will be brand new to Orchestra and who need to get caught up before school begins. In addition to instruction from a master Orchestra Teacher, several very well-trained high school orchestra peer tutors will be on hand to help, work with, and encourage students. The length of each session is one week and the camp class will be one-hour long. The fee is $25 per week session. If you have further questions, please reach out to Mrs. Silva: firstname.lastname@example.org Supplies Needed: Students will need to bring their instrument and their Essential Elements Book 1. Proceeds from the fee will cover the hourly pay-rate of the teacher for extra time dedicated to instruction and will also be used for all music-related purchases made on behalf of the Farmington Junior High Orchestra program.
