Farmington XC and Track & Field is raising money to hep continue to lift the program to new heights. Funds will help the team by giving the kids proper equipment, opportunities to compete at prestigious invitationals, allow us to host a competitive and enjoyable track meet, and enable us hire excellent coaches to work with the kids in each event. In track and field, we have sprints, hurdles, distance, 3 types of jumps, and 3 types of throwing events. With a team of our size and talent, we need all the help we can get. The primary equipment needs are new hurdles to replace those which have broken over the years, discuses, shots for the shot put, javelins, and poles for the Pole Vault. Pole vaulters use different poles based on their height, weight, speed, and the mark they are vaulting for, so a collection of poles is paramount for our kids¿ success. At some point in the next few years, we will also need to invest in new pits for the High Jump and Pole Vault.
