The Kalapu Pasifika Islanders will be participating for the first year in a multi-high school competition called "Who Got Roots". This competition consists of Pacific Islander high school students and friends, grades 9-12, competing across the state of Utah. The focus of the event is to foster community and belonging for Pacific Island diaspora and encourages students to celebrate their unique identity through traditional and contemporary Pasifika dance, art, and music
