Davis High SchoolCalling all athletes! Davis High Athletic Department is beginning its inaugural Youth Summer Speed, Agility, and Strength Training. Beginning July 2nd and ending August 8th. When: Tuesdays & Thursdays. Sessions begin at 10am or 11am. Tuesdays: Speed, agility, and body weight movements will be the focus. Thursdays: Form/Technique & Light free weights will be the focus. Locations: Davis High Weight Room (2nd Floor above the main gym) and the Stadium. Who: Athletes heading into 7th & 8th grade, 12-14 years old. Boys and Girls both welcome! Cost: $125 or $15 per session (11 total sessions, no class on July 4th) Dress: Athletic wear (t-shirts, shorts, and athletic shoes) Availability: Limited to first 100 registrants. Max 50 per session based on first come first serve. Why: To improve overall athletic performance and knowledge. Prepare future DART athletes, work with certified and experienced coaches, improve self-esteem, confidence, and mental health. Davis High Coach : Carl Harry - 2 sport collegiate athlete (Track & Football) at the University of Utah. Wide Receiver in the National Football League and Super Bowl Champion XXVI (1991), and former manager/trainer at D1 Sports Trains and the SportsPlex (X180). Assistant Strength Coach: Mitch Spjut - 17 Affiliate Cup CrossFit Champion, ¿18 CrossFit Regional Athlete, CrossFit Level 2 Certification, Westside Barbell Certification. ALL athletes must register BEFORE workouts begin.
