This accelerated course includes: --27 hours of classroom instruction --Behind the wheel instruction, including range, simulations and road driving --Students will also complete their driving skills test with a BHS instructor BHS is offering two sessions of Summer Driver Education this summer. Space is very limited (36 students per session) Session 1: June 3-7th, 2024 TIME: 8:00 AM - 1:30 PM Session 2: June 10-14, 2024 TIME: 8:00 AM - 1:30 PM COST: $175.00 LOCATION: Bountiful High School Room #309 MATERIALS NEEDED: Each student will be responsible for bringing their own laptop, notebook and pen or pencil. Students will need to have their permit and at least 10 hours of practice driving with parent/guardian. WHO: Students who will be 16 years of age by December 31, 2024. ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY. PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY TO BE IN CLASS FOR THE ENTIRE TIME. *No more than three (3) tardies - less than 10 minutes late. *Showing up after 10 minutes late is considered an absence. *The 4th tardy drops you from the class. *An absence will drop you from the class. All Behind the Wheel instruction will be scheduled individually from oldest to youngest. All driving will be completed during the summer with an instructor. Range sessions will be scheduled in the mornings. STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO BRING A PHOTOCOPY OF THEIR LEARNER'S PERMIT TO THE FIRST DAY OF CLASS.
