Woods Cross High SchoolGeneral admission seating, 90 minutes, includes two intermissions, concessions available for purchase Radio dramas first came into vogue in the 1920s and were highly popular throughout the '30s and '40s, until the popularity of television overpowered radio as a storytelling medium. Similar to these radio dramas, a live radio play is an auditory production that uses dialogue, narration, and sound effects to tell a story. ***Our 2024 performance includes three short stories*** The Tell-Tale Heart is adapted by Anthony Buck from the original story by Edgar Allan Poe. In this psychological thriller, a man, driven by obsession and guilt, murders an old woman and descends into madness, eventually confessing his crime after being tormented by the imagined sound of the victim's beating heart. The Jewel Robbery at the Grand Metropolitan is adapted by Anthony Buck from the original short story by Agatha Christie. Beloved character and world-famous detective Hercule Poirot investigates the theft of a priceless pearl necklace from a hotel room, aided by his good friend Captain Hastings and staff from the hotel. The Curse of the Ferret Mummy is an original modern comedy by Anthony Buck. Cora has wanted a pet, but her mom doesn't think she's ready for the responsibility. When tasked with caring for a ragged pet Ferret, Cora has the chance to earn her mother's trust. A few mistakes here and there, a lot of imagination on the subject of ancient Egypt and mummification, and Cora's chance to prove herself as a pet owner goes hilariously awry.
