Bountiful Jr HighSUMMER BAND INFO General Info: Date: July 28th - August 8th, Monday - Friday Where: Centerville Junior High (we are combining camp with CJH) Time: Beginning Brass 8:00 - 8:30 a.m. Beginning Woodwinds 8:30 - 9:00 a.m. Beginning Percussion 9:00 - 9:30 a.m. Q: What is summer band? A: Summer band camp is a time for students to get some individualized help on their specific instrument they've chosen. Students will be able to learn the basics of their instrument, how to put it together, and how to make a sound on it, so when we start school, we can start with our feet on the ground running! Q: When is summer band? A: Summer band for 2025-2026 school year will be July 28th - August 8th. Times will be as follow: Beginning Brass 8-8:30 a.m. Beginning Woodwinds 8:30-9:00 Beginning Percussion 9:00-9:30 Q: How much does summer band cost? A: Summer band costs $60.00/student. This covers the cost of having specialists come and help our students on their respective instruments. Q: What does my student need to bring/have with them? A: All students will need their instrument, method book and a pencil each day of band camp. If students are renting a school instrument, they will receive that instrument on the first day of band camp. If they are renting from a music store, the music store should be able to drop the instrument off at band camp the first day. Otherwise, please make sure you have an instrument rented from a store and ready for the first day. Woodwind players should have at least 4 working reeds at all times, in addition to an instrument maintenance kit for their instrument. Brass players should have valve oil and slide grease. Percussionists should have a bell kit and snare pad with sticks and mallets. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.
