Farmington JH Band Family, For years, every May, we have had a FatBoy fundraiser that is very successful. We have never earned less than $11,000. It is something the community has come to expect. The funds we raise from that project fund our Band Department for the following year. The money pays for new instruments, replacing old instruments, repairing instruments, purchasing music, festival fees, and many other expenses we incur to run a band program of our size and success level. For obvious reasons we are not able to run our FatBoy fundraiser this year. We have had a generous parent reach out and offer to match any donations we receive up to $5,000. We hesitated to do this considering the financial hardship that Covid 19 has caused across the globe. With that in mind if you are in a position to make a donation of any amount towards our band program it would be greatly appreciated. If you are not in a positon to make a donation please don't worry about it. The band program will continue to function next year on whatever budget we have available.
