Theatre presents Woods Cross Radio Plays
Woods Cross High SchoolSaturday, October 24th at 8 PM Tickets are General Admission $5 Concessions available On Saturday, October 24th, something exciting is coming to the Woods Cross High School Little Theatre--WXRP. Woods Cross Radio Plays. Radio dramas first came into vogue in the 1920s and were highly popular throughout the '30s and '40s, until television overpowered radio as a storytelling medium. Similar to those radio dramas, a live radio play is an auditory production that uses dialogue, narration, and sound effects to tell a story. Some of our sound effects will be performed as live foley art. In our Halloween tradition, we will be putting on spooky and silly shows perfect for the Halloween season and great for families of all ages. And you can be part of the magic. Show up at the Little Theatre that morning at 9 AM if you want to be in the show or help with the effects. That night we will perform at 8 PM. Any Wildcat who shows up in the morning will be part of the cast or the crew. This is perfect for voice actors, sound designers, and anyone who wants to do a little theatre, but doesn’t have the time to commit to one of our traditional productions. It’s great for people who want to perform, but don’t want to memorize lines. Come help us make the show, or join us in the audience. Either way, it’s a fun way to get in the Halloween spirit and spend time with friends. See you on October 24th at 9 AM to make the show or at 8 PM to see it!
